Every year millions of people die from wrong interventions. The reason is that most people do not have enough knowledge about what they should do at emergency situations. Sometimes a piece of first aid knowledge can save a person’s life. According to the report published by Turkish Health Ministry in 2011, the first 5 minutes is 5 times more important than the rest minutes for the wounded victim to survive him or her.
With this project, we aim to come together with young people from different parts of Europe to share the information about first aid techniques for emergencies and also learn different intervention techniques The activities of the project were held between 20-28 November 2016. Participants from Turkey, Bulgaria, and Lithuania were involved.
The training was based on non-formal education techniques. Within this project, the participants got knowledge on how can a person intervene the following 11 emergency situations: drowning in a lake or sea, traffic accidents and similar physical injuries, fire, heart attacks, twists and fractures, burns by hot water, earthquakes, cognition disorders, poisoning by food, obstruction of the airway, beatens by insects,
