Enhancing Youth Employability through Photography is a youth mobility seminar bringing together 30 youth workers interested in the field of photography and visual communication.
Program:
The participants are going to attend a series of workshops and seminars mainly aiming the subject of photography but also including topics of employment issues, challenges of the youth on the job market, self-branding, video editing and such. There will be also several leisure activities like sightseeing, international night, group building games, etc.
Objectives:
The main goal of the program is to provide practical skills and abilities for the participants which can help them to find their place on the job market. Each and every workshop will enable participants to develop their competences by experiencing photo shooting, camera usage and portfolio creation, digital programs usage, event management, presentation, interview simulation and group discussions. The activities will also include interview simulation and group discussions. The activities will also include enough space for sharing best practices, ideas and experience the international group dynamics. They will get knowledge about the latest changes of the international job market and the necessary skills for success in order to being able to adapt to the challenges of the 21st century.
Methods:
The youth exchange uses experimental pedagogy methods. Activities require active participation from each participant and will be carried out individually, in small groups and within the whole team. Activities are structured in order to support youth employability through photography and video shooting in three ways: creative self-expression, sharing opinions and video shooting in three ways: creative self- expression, sharing opinions and experiences as a young professional on employability issues (required competences, self- marketing, empowerment, entrepreneurship etc); developing competences: communication with other people – team work developing competences: communication with other people- team work and active participation enables better cultural understanding, active listening, conflict handling management; digital skills by learning different photo shooting techniques, digital platforms/ programs (Photoshop etc) and creativity empower participants to plan future projects, encourage them to become active in their organisation in order to gain more experience, collaborate on long term on international level and start their own initiation.
