A large number of people in the European countries live alone, do not have a life partner and seldom interact face-to- face with others outside of the workplace or school. The reasons for these tendencies can be many, but what effects do they have on individuals, groups and local/European society in general? How can we prevent people – especially the youth – from being lonely in a world full of social media and advanced trans-border communication tools?
The project focuses on knowledge sharing and creating solutions to negative exclusion and loneliness.
Project intention is to create new common European ideas/ methods and collect the data in a report we can hand over to local politicians and the European Union. Project aim is to influence the decision makers to take action on the initiatives we take.
All participants in this project are part of abovementioned process and we hope that every organisation will be able to present own ideas about measures of preventing loneliness.
Project partners: Denmark, Czech Republic, Greece, Italy, Estonia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Lithuania.
